  • What kind of data can be ingested?

  • What is the best way to organize my media prior to shipping to Fios?
  • Whether you ship physical media to Fios or transfer native files electronically, organizing data for ingestion into Clarify is easy. Simply place your data in folders named by custodian at the root of the collection drive an example of which appears below:

    Data is then loaded into the system and the custodians will appear in the Clarify similar to the custodians shown above. There is no need to contact a Fios Project Manager for assistance.
  • Where can I learn more about writing complex searches in Clarify?
  • Please see the Clarify Search Syntax Cheat Sheet for search tips. A PDF version is available for you to download and print.
  • What Project Management assistance is included with Clarify?
  • Project Management is available to assist with the following:
    • Media ingestion and notification of its completion; and
    • Exports to Relativity Powered by Fios and other review platforms.
    • For assistance with search term strategy, Project Management assistance is available at an hourly rate.
  • What type of reporting is available in Clarify?
  • Clarify makes available a rich assortment of reports, which can be exported to a number of formats, including PDF and Excel. The following is a list of reports available in Clarify:

  • What do I do if I forget my password?
    • Navigate to https://clarify.fiosdiscovery.com as you normally would to access Clarify.
    • Click on the link, “Forgot your password?”
    • Enter your username and click “Submit.”
    Your password will be sent via email to the email account on file.

    If your email address has changed or if your email address is no longer valid, please contact our Support department for further assistance.
  • How do I contact Support?

    For additional training, new shipments, exports, or deliverable related issues, please contact your project team directly.

    If you are experiencing performance issues or errors, please contact Fios Support during business hours (6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday). Emergencies are handled on an on-call basis outside of the hours listed above.

  • Can I conduct a formal document review in Clarify?
  • Clarify provides a case intelligence tool that facilitates early case analysis and shortens the review planning process. Although it is an ideal tool to make better-informed decisions about case strategy, the Clarify Service tool does not include all the features necessary to conduct a formal review for production.
